How will this project be funded?
The development of the 1093 Rails to Trails Project will be funded through grants, corporate contributions, and private donations,
Will the 1093 Rails to Trails Project cause my taxes to increase?
This development of this trail will not lead to a tax increase. However, like with any improvement, proximity to the trail can increase nearby property values.
How long will it take to complete this project?
The time needed to complete this project will be dependent on many factors, including funding and community involvement. Once the plans are developed, construction of the trail will be completed in phases, such as cleaning, building, and maintenance.

What will the trail look like?
As part of the lease agreement, the 1093 Rails to Trails Local Government Corporation can't install any permanent structures on the railroad's property, the look, feel, and composition of each section of the trail will be decided by the communities.
How much will this project cost?
The final cost of the project will be dependent on what the trail looks like, how much labor costs, how much materials cost, how much work can be done by volunteers, and other factors.
Where will the trailheads be?
Trailheads will be located in places to make the best connections to the communities along the trail. Community members will help decide the best places for those connections
Where will the trail cross the road and the river?
Ensuring that the trail safely crosses roadways and other natural features is important. The 1093 Rails to Trails Project will work with the Texas Department of Transportation, the Brazos River Authority, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to design appropriate crossings, and community members will help determine the best locations for crossings, when applicable.
