1093 Rails to Trails Local Government Corporation- RFP #FY2026-01
The 1093 Rails to Trails (RTT) Local Government Corporation (LGC) is seeking proposals for the clearing of a rail corridor to establish an approximately twelve-foot-wide pathway. The scope of work includes the removal of vegetation and the collection of steel rails, wooden ties, and other salvageable metal components along the corridor. The main segment extends approximately 8.35 miles, beginning in Eagle Lake (Colorado County, Texas) and ending 0.7 miles east of Chesterville (Wharton County, Texas).

1093 Rails-to-Trails Bid Opening Meeting: 3/26/2026 @ 3 PM
The 1093 RTT LGC received sealed bids for the Rail Salvage Project. At this meeting, the bids were opened, read aloud, and the meeting adjourned. Following this meeting, the RTT bid committee reviewed responses received to make a recommendation to the Board.
